Waterproof 1mm HDPE Geomembrane

Product Introduction

    Waterproof 1mm HDPE Geomembrane, which is a 1-millimeter thick HDPE waterproof geotextile membrane. It is made from high-density polyethylene and processed through special techniques. This product has excellent water resistance, with an extremely low permeability coefficient, and can effectively prevent liquid leakage. It has high strength, is resistant to stretching and tearing, and can adapt to foundation deformation. It has strong chemical stability and is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. Moreover, the construction is convenient, which can significantly shorten the construction period and is widely used in water conservancy, environmental protection, and construction fields.

Application cases and scenarios

1. Canadian swimming pool project: In August 2020, a Canadian client planned to build a swimming pool and sought a waterproofing solution from a company with 15 years of experience in geotextile membrane production and ISO certification. The company recommended using HDPE geotextile membrane made of 100% natural raw materials and in compliance with ASTM standards, which has excellent chemical resistance, tensile strength and UV resistance. Due to the pandemic, the project was  postponed. After it was restarted in 2021, the client selected HDPE geotextile membrane with a thickness of 1mm, one smooth side and one textured side, after sample testing. The manufacturer provided welding machine specifications and guidance videos to assist the client in the smooth construction process. 

2.  Agricultural irrigation reservoirs in Mexico:

    Some states in Mexico are experiencing severe dry seasons and water shortages. To make rational use of the limited water resources, the client plans to build agricultural irrigation reservoirs using geotextile membranes. The relevant company provides factory certificates and free samples, and the client places an order after being satisfied. Considering that the reservoirs are exposed to the elements, it is recommended to use 1mm thick HDPE geotextile membranes, as they contain 2 - 3% carbon black, which can resist ultraviolet rays, and adding LLDPE can maintain toughness in cold winters. Compared to traditional concrete, this geotextile membrane reduces costs by 30%-40% and has good anti-seepage performance.

3. Industrial reservoirs in Brazil:

    In an industrial reservoir project of a company in Brazil, 1mm thick HDPE geotextile membranes were used as linings. After 2.25 years of use, an analysis and study were conducted on it. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the thermal weight curves of the used geotextile membrane samples exhibited different behaviors under specific heating rates; thermomechanical analysis revealed that the reference samples had a thermal stability range of 30 to 65°C, while the used samples did not have this molecular relaxation phenomenon due to the harsh environment on site, and exhibited mechanical brittleness, possibly due to changes in the polymer structure.
