Haoyang Installs 14m Ultra-Wide Blow-Molded Geomembrane Line, Set for June 2026 Launch

Haoyang Environmental Co., Ltd. is currently installing a new industry-leading 14m ultra-wide blow-molded geomembrane production line at its main manufacturing base, with full production scheduled to officially start in June 2026. Once operational, the line will achieve a daily output of 50 tons, effectively doubling Haoyang’s total geomembrane production capacity and further strengthening its position as one of the most capable geosynthetics manufacturers in the global market.

This new production line sets a new benchmark in China with its unmatched width specifications tailored to different thickness requirements:

• 1.5mm: 14 meters wide maximum 

• 2.0mm: 12 meters wide maximum

• 3.0mm: 10 meters wide maximum

These dimensions make Haoyang’s new line the widest blow-molded geomembrane production system in China, ideal for large-scale projects including mining tailings ponds, landfills, reservoirs, aquaculture ponds and environmental containment projects across South America, Africa, Asia and other regions.

The most revolutionary advantage lies in Haoyang’s patented one-step online spray-texturing technology, a core innovation that distinguishes Haoyang from nearly all other manufacturers in the industry. Unlike the conventional two-step process widely used by competitors — in which smooth geomembrane is produced first, then moved to a separate machine for texturing — Haoyang completes extrusion and spray-textured surface treatment in a single, continuous process.

This patented system supports both single-textured and double-textured geomembrane surfaces, delivering superior performance and efficiency. For 2.0mm textured geomembrane, the line reaches a daily output of approximately 50,000 square meters — equivalent to the total production of nearly 20 separate two-step texturing lines. At the same time, the integrated process significantly reduces material loss, labor and energy consumption, lowering overall production costs while maintaining consistent quality.

In addition to higher efficiency, Haoyang’s one-step online texturing creates stronger adhesion between the textured layer and the base geomembrane. The surface bonds more firmly, resists peeling, and provides better anti-slip performance and stability on steep slopes, a critical advantage in tailings dams and landfill capping projects.

The new line also features a precision dual-winding system designed to eliminate middle creases and improve welding performance:

• For membranes below 1.5mm and width under 7m, automatic slitting and dual-winding are applied

• For 2.0mm thickness and width up to 6m, dual-winding ensures flatness

• For 3.0mm thickness and width up to 5m, the same high-precision winding system is used

By slitting the membrane and winding on two separate rolls simultaneously, Haoyang eliminates the central crease common in traditional wide-width geomembranes, resulting in flatter products that are easier to install and weld on site.
