"Hao" Project - A Case Study of Plateau Reservoirs
Aranbaotai Reservoir on the Pamir Plateau
On August 6th, the main project of Aranbaotai Reservoir in Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County has been basically completed. The water intake structure is now fully advancing the installation of metal structures (metallic structures), and it is expected to be fully built and ready for gate closing and water storage by the end of September. This project, hailed as the 'life-giving water' of the plateau, is about to inject new vitality into local people's livelihood and development.
The Aran Baotai Reservoir is located on the Xinggong Gou, a first-order tributary of the left bank of the Tashkurgan River, at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. It is a key water conservancy project in the Kashgar Region's 14th Five-Year Plan. The total investment of the project is approximately 479 million yuan, and the total reservoir capacity is 4.03 million cubic meters. Construction started in September 2023. Haoyang Environment Co., Ltd., as the core supplier of composite geotextile membranes, overcame high-altitude challenges such as coldness, hypoxia, and permafrost construction through its subsidiary Haoyang Environment Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. By adopting the full-reservoir composite geotextile membrane impermeabilization technology, it has demonstrated its full-cycle competitiveness in high-altitude construction projects, as well as solid technical strength and engineering resilience from material supply to project implementation.
