In late March 2026, alumni delegations from the Jinan and Dezhou chapters of Tianjin Polytechnic University (TPU) visited Haoyang Environmental Co., Ltd. at the National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Yucheng, Dezhou, marking a pivotal step in deepening industry-university-research collaboration for the geosynthetics sector. Accompanied by Li Dahu, Science and Technology Vice Mayor of Yucheng City and Deputy Director of the Dezhou National High-Tech Zone Management Committee, the delegation conducted an on-site investigation into the industrialization progress of the co-developed polypropylene high-strength geotextile project, and held in-depth exchanges on strengthening university-local cooperation and accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into market-ready geosynthetic products.

 

On March 29, the TPU alumni delegation toured Haoyang Environmental’s intelligent production workshops and the company’s science and technology exhibition hall, where they observed the entire production process of polypropylene high-strength geotextiles through advanced digital modeling technology. A senior technical director at Haoyang Environmental shared the core technological breakthroughs of the polypropylene high-strength geotextile project with the alumni delegation, highlighting how the product has overcome long-standing technical bottlenecks of traditional geotextiles in mechanical properties, acid and alkali resistance, and freeze-thaw resistance. “This product has filled the gap in domestic high-end geotextile supplies and reached world-leading levels of performance,” the director explained. Compared with conventional geotextile products on the market, the polypropylene high-strength geotextile developed by Haoyang and TPU boasts a 50% improvement in mechanical properties, a 30% reduction in elongation, and significantly enhanced creep and aging resistance—key performance metrics that make it far more durable and reliable for harsh engineering environments.
